Peter had previously met Jesus, through his brother Andrew, but he wasn’t totally on board yet. His relationship with Jesus was somewhat shallow. Jesus saw great potential in Peter, and his buddies, so he had to capture Peter’s heart to up his level of involvement in spreading the good news about Messiah – Jesus. Today’s teaching reveals how Jesus captures our hearts and turns us into key players in building his Kingdom.
