Day 22 – October 30

While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. ¹⁶When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?”  ¹⁷On hearing this, Jesus said to them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”     Mark 2:15-17

Suggestions for Prayer

• Pray that each of us could develop relationships with nonbelievers
• Pray that we would show love to those people that our culture deems unworthy
• Pray that we would all meet people like Levi so we could share the love of Jesus with them.
• Pray that we would not be judgmental with people who are not like we are
• Pray that any traces of self-righteousness would disappear from us
• Pray that we would walk in the understanding that we sinner saved by grace
