One of Jesus’ post-resurrection appearances was on the road to Emmaus with Cleopas and an unnamed person. They were both confused about what took place with Jesus and weren’t feeling very good about their spoiled hopes over the way things turned out with Jesus being crucified. The risen Savior turned their disappointment to joy when he explained the Scriptures to them.
