Hillcrest Ministry Stewards Team

The Ministry Stewards Team is the governing body of Hillcrest Church. We function as a two-board system. With a Board of Directors (Our Elders). And The Ministry Board, lovingly known as the Ministry Stewards Team. Officers are elected at the annual church meeting each January from nominees presented by the nominating committee and nominees presented from the floor.

The Ministry Board shall consist of the Pastor, who shall be its chairman, the Elders, and the following, who shall be elected at the Annual Meeting: Treasurer, Secretary, Missions Coordinator, Children’s Ministry Coordinator, Property Coordinator, and Minister(s) at Large.
The Pastor and the other Elders are the highest level of leadership in the church and shall serve as the Board of Directors. They have the authority to veto any actions of the Ministry Board with a unanimous vote.
The qualifications for elders are set out in 1 Timothy 3:1–13 and Titus 1:6–9. Further, each must be an active member of the Church. The Elders must be male members of this church. The Pastor is automatically an Elder and Chairman of the Elders. Elders must be confirmed by a 2/3 vote of the members voting at the Annual Meeting and are elected for a (2) two-year term.
